Meet Cactus - an original Dip product. It’s a vertical incense holder made from recycled PLA produced by 3D printing.
The holder’s “neck” has a texture that follows the lines of the external incense sticks. It doubles as an ashtray for burnt ends and a reservatory for extra incense sticks.
We’ve also added a cone shape to the top of the “neck.” It optimizes the concentration of the incense smoke while cleverly concealing any affected internal surfaces.
During the initial research and testing of various incense holders, we discovered that ash accumulation becomes problematic in windy conditions if not promptly cleaned after use. We developed a vertically oriented enclosure to address this issue, effectively reducing its overall size while retaining its key features.
Another essential feature the team prioritized was the inclusion of additional space for more incense sticks. Inspired by the shape of these sticks, we noticed a striking resemblance to that of a cactus, which also mirrors the reservoir feature. This shared similarity in form and function led to the naming of the product.
