Ipsilon Design sought our Industrial Design services to create The Alpha Chair — the first of a family of products inspired by industrial, minimalist objects.
We created the chair’s unique aesthetic with sheet metal, produced by laser cutting — a simple, precise, and fast manufacturing process. We worked tirelessly to ensure the chair was delivered to consumers in a flat pack, making transportation quicker and more cost-effective.
The essence of this stylish chair is aggression, characterized by its innate sense of direction and raw speed. This design principle also allowed us to create a study back capable of supporting the user’s weight. The combination of warm wood and cold sheet metal represents natural and industrial harmony.
