Rad Sound was developed to complement Rad Golf's product line, contributing to expanding the company's offerings. Its primary aim is to provide music in a compact size and enhance the golfing experience through the innovative Rad button. This button measures distance using GPS and tracks shots, enriching the data to elevate the overall golfing experience.
The speaker also has a magnetic back that ensures convenient placement on metal surfaces, such as golf car pillars, enhancing versatility and ease of use.
One of the primary challenges in maintaining a compact size as a key feature is organizing components effectively, striving to keep similar ones close to each other. Controls are positioned at the top, while larger components occupy the most significant area of the product. This design choice promotes intuitive usability despite the compact size.
The initial form drew inspiration from both sound and the golf ball, with the circular shape chosen for its approachability to users.
The magnetic surface enhances the readability of controls and the clarity of sound.
The pillars of the golf cart provide an easily accessible and well-positioned area for use during the round of the game.
